Yoga for sports
Yoga offers significant benefits for professional athletes, amateur sports enthusiasts, and anyone who regularly engages in specific sports or repetitive training.

It helps maintain, restore, and enhance range of motion, while building the strength and flexibility required to perform demanding athletic movements—especially under strain and at the edges of ability. This combination of mobility and strength can improve performance, help prevent injuries, and support effective rehabilitation after injury.

In addition, the conscious breathing techniques integral to yoga practice aid in regulating the nervous system. Once learned, these techniques can be applied beyond the yoga mat, helping athletes remain calm and focused under pressure.

In addition to being a 200-hour Yoga Alliance accredited teacher, I am one of a small group of UK teachers with a specialist Yoga Alliance accreditation in Yoga for Sports & Athletes. I completed this training with Sarah Ramsden, yoga teacher to many professional athletes — including the senior teams at Manchester City and Manchester United — for more than a decade.

Experience the benefits

More athletes than ever are turning to yoga to help prevent injuries, accelerate recovery, sharpen performance, strengthen mental focus, and extend their careers. At the same time, many dedicated amateur sports people are taking their training seriously and adopting the same performance and recovery methods used by professionals. Is it time to add yoga to your routine?

Whether you’re new to yoga, returning to it, or already experienced, I’d be delighted to work with you.
About me
I first tried yoga in 2012, as an antidote to 20 years of playing football and tennis, both of which I still enjoy today.

Unsurprisingly, I was inflexible and yoga felt completely foreign to me at first. But I stuck with it, and soon began to notice the benefits — not only physically, with greater mobility, body awareness, and full-body strength, but mentally as well. I found it gave me space to focus inward, in a quiet, calm, yet challenging way.

Over time, I developed both a love for the practice and an aptitude for understanding its dynamics, which led me to complete my 200-hour teacher training and begin teaching.

Having experienced first-hand the profound benefits yoga can offer both physically and mentally, I’m passionate about helping others discover what it can do for them. Especially those who, like I once did, think it ‘isn’t for them.’
